Yesterday was the first of our new Sunny Side Up Speaker Series put on in partnership with the University of South Florida St Petersburg Kate Tiedemann College of Business, featuring Bill Wallace, Executive Director of US Ignite. The event attracted lots of locals interested in learning more about smart cities and how technology will change the way cities are being developed. This crowd also got to witness the announcement of St. Petersburg as the newest addition to the US Ignite Smart Cities Network, becoming the 27th city to do so. Two articles have been written about the event, and you can read those here: St. Pete Catalyst- St. Petersburg named 27th city in US Ignite Smart Cities Network Tampa Bay Business Journal – St. Pete joins Smart Cities ecosystem If you missed this one, be sure to attend our next Sunny Side Up speaker on March 20th with Keith Brophy,  Director of Business Lab for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Emerging Markets, more details to come soon!
