These items are used to deliver advertising that is more relevant to you and your interests. They may also be used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Advertising networks usually place them with the website operator’s permission.

Personalization

Essential

These items allow the website to remember choices you make (such as your user name, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. For example, a website may provide you with local weather reports or traffic news by storing data about your current location.

On September 29 and 30, the St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership hosted candidate receptions with Ken Welch and Charlie Crist, both candidates for mayor of St. Petersburg. The events took place at Birchwood and gave members the chance to meet each candidate in a relaxed setting.

As a nonpartisan organization, the Downtown Partnership offered both candidates the same opportunity to connect with our membership. The receptions were designed to help members hear directly from each candidate and better understand their perspectives on the issues that matter to downtown St. Petersburg, including development, growth, and the business climate.

Downtown's success depends on an engaged and informed business community, and these events are one way we support that. The Partnership does not endorse candidates, and the receptions were intended to encourage dialogue and informed participation in the upcoming election.

Thank you to Birchwood for hosting, to Ken Welch and Charlie Crist for taking the time to join us, and to every member who came out.
