What would you like the community to know about your organization?
We’re a family owned and operated company that’s been invested in St. Pete since 2010. We bet on cities more than we bet on individual buildings. St. Pete is a bet we’re going to keep doubling down on. Our perspective is long-term – we typically want to buy and hold. That means it makes sense for us to invest time and resources into the community around us.
Why are you a part of the St. Pete Downtown Partnership?
SPDP has been a big part of the downtown’s success. There’s a million little things that come up that no other organization is really focused on that impact downtown residents and businesses. We make sure our public leaders are aware of those issues and try to offer solutions. We’re nonpartisan, and we’ve done a good job working with public leaders across the spectrum – not every organization pulls that off.
Where do you see Downtown St. Pete in 10 years?
We’ve expanded our waterfront parks system into some of the underutilized areas now owned by the city. Housing costs are in line with incomes because we’ve built so much new housing downtown while attracting high-paying employers to all the new office space.
