#TeamTampaBay Poll Workers

#TeamTampaBay, a group consisting of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Rowdies and USF Athletics are seeking support from the Partnership’s membership for their collective effort to recruit poll workers for the upcoming election on November 3rd.

Through a press release and social and traditional media efforts, #TeamTampaBay will be drawing attention to the fact that September 1st is National Poll Worker Recruitment day. Each of these organizations will be offering their staff paid time off to volunteer at the polls and they are asking if any of our members would like to join the effort.

If your organization is interested in participating and able to provide paid time off to those who want to volunteer, please send an email to Michael Farrant so you can be included in the press release and #TeamTampaBay can contact you with additional resources to help spread the word. Please do so no later than Monday, August 31 at 9:00 a.m. (and the sooner the better!).

This is a wholly non-partisan effort to ensure a free and fair election for our communities. We recognize that not all organizations will be able to turn this around on such a short time frame — and, of course, that is completely understandable. If your company is not able to participate at this time but would like to be involved in future #TeamTampaBay efforts around voting registration, vote by mail, and early voting options, please email Michael and they’ll be sure to reach out in the future.
