Board Retreat Sets Direction for the Partnership's 2027 Work Plan

The St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership recently held its annual Board Retreat, bringing board members together to help shape the direction of the organization's 2027 Work Plan.

Among the outcomes from the retreat, the Partnership has selected Chicago as the destination for its next Urban Exploration Trip, tentatively planned for late March. Chicago offers valuable parallels to projects underway in downtown St. Petersburg, including lessons from Millennium Park applicable to the city's waterfront park investments, and insights from Fulton Market on retail and district activation.

The retreat also included discussion on the continued evolution of the Partnership's Development Guide, which will place a greater focus on downtown-specific data and visual storytelling to better serve the investors, developers, and community members who rely on it each year.

Retail remained a key theme as well, with continued attention on supporting local and independent businesses and finding new ways to keep downtown's commercial corridors active and accessible as the district continues to grow.

The Partnership is grateful to its board for their time and direction, and looks forward to sharing more as the 2027 Work Plan comes together.
