The Tampa Bay Business Journal recently wrote an article exploring St. Pete's need for baseball. “Is it nice to have? Absolutely, but we don’t have the same need for baseball that we had 20 years ago,” our CEO, Jason Mathis, told the Tampa Bay Business Journal. “St. Pete has dramatically changed in the last two decades. The city is a very different place than it was when community leaders were working so hard to recruit Major League Baseball.”
