A revitalized Williams Park, with enhanced amenities and improved infrastructure, will have a significant ripple effect in elevating the area’s functionality for citizens and a positive economic benefit.

St. Petersburg’s first park has played an important role as a historic, cultural, and civic public space. A revitalized Williams Park, with enhanced amenities and improved infrastructure, will have a significant ripple effect in elevating the area’s functionality for citizens and a positive economic benefit of increased office occupancies, retail sales, and residential development. In 2025, the Williams Park Partnership received $800,000 in State support to include new lighting and electrical infrastructure to improve visibility and highlight entrances, exits, gathering areas, walkways, and facilities; retaining walls to add elevation from the street; and sidewalk replacement and repair to provide a safe pedestrian buffer between street traffic that surrounds the park.
